Play Corner & Parenting Collection
Visit our Play Corner, it's the perfect place for young children to play! This area is appropriate for
children birth to 6 years of age with parental supervision. Be sure to check out our parenting collection
of books, videos, musical CDs and pamphlets which is conveniently located in the play corner.
The offerings range from birth through the teenage years on a variety of topics, and all items may be checked out on loan.
Please note...Parenting/family magazines can be found in the main magazine section.
Baby Bags are available for all families of new babies. Each bag contains a Goodnight Moon board book,
a library card application (it’s never too early for a library card!), and literacy information relevant
to infants. You may ask for them at the Circulation Desk or in the Children’s Services Dept.
These Baby Bags and their contents are generously provided by the Friends of the Thompson Public Library.
Attention Tweens and Teens! Have you ever had a babysitting nightmare? You know the one … when the kids won’t
settle down, one is crying and the other one is screaming. Well, no more nightmares. We have the answer for you.
Babysitter Backpacks to the Rescue!! We have backpacks that you can fill with books from the library,
contains a puppet storytelling kit, and books to answer all your babysitting questions.
They are located in the Children’s Section on top of the new fiction bookshelves. Come in and check them out.
These backpacks and their contents are generously provided by the Friends of the Thompson Public Library.
