Tech Help
Need help with technology? The Library can help!
While our staff is always available to help with simple questions, sometimes we don’t have the
time to assist with more complex problems. To help with this problem, we are now offering
basic one-on-one tech help sessions.
Sessions can be up to 50 minutes long, and are intended for people who need more in
depth assistance. We can help you learn new skills or solve problems you may be having with
your tech.
Some of the things we can help with include:
– Email
– Libby (our Digital Library)
– New device set-up
– Basic computer skills
– Basic Microsoft Office/Google Workplace
While we are happy to take a stab at most problems or new skills, there are unfortunately some
things we cannot do. These could include fixing broken devices, recovering lost passwords, and
entering personal information (such as banking details).
To sign up, visit the reference desk or call the Library. We will find the time that works best for
you and us, and discuss what you need help with. This preliminary meeting allows us to better prepare for your appointment and specific needs.
